Submarine weapon

The U - BOAT WAR was one of the toughest disciplines in the Navy.
Most of them lived crammed together in the U - BOOT for weeks and months
52 SUBMARINE DRIVERS without any privacy.
Although they were exposed to inhuman hardship, they achieved incredible feats and brought their opponents almost to the brink of defeat. If more COMBAT BOATS had been built in good time and a correspondingly professional air support had been guaranteed, this would probably have led to success.
So the WAR OF THE U - BOATS remained a torso until the end of the war. Even those that are too small
armed forces could not change that, albeit a powerful surface-water force.
